Kristie Linley-Sibley is a professional singer & recording artist with a voice that can “transcend to your heart and minister to your soul.” If you look up the meaning of the name “Kristie” you will find that this modern all American name means “Anointed.” What a coincidence that Kristie’s parents, Gloria Whitfield-Linley & Hiram Linley were going to name her Kimberly Dawn, but God would have it that her name was changed to a name that was full of purpose and spirit. Some of her accomplishments are vast as it pertains to her musical versatile, to include jazz, gospel: both contemporary and traditional, spirituals, classical & popular music. Kristie has a dynamic vocal ability which is diverse with a full 3-octave range.
Kristie has traveled and performed in various venues; performing concerts, participating in industry showcases and other special events. Kristie L. Sibley has performed at premier events opening up for “A List” gospel artist such as CeCe Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Steven Curtis Chapman, Mom & Pop Winans & Albertina Walker. She also performed at the Bobby Jones Gospel Industry Retreat on BET network television and at the prestigious Trumpet Awards Gala celebration for its founder Xernona Clayton who hosts the annual “Trumpet Awards” on TBS TV Network. In addition, she had the honor of singing at Carnegie Hall with the Georgia Youth Chorale in New York City.
In 1996, Kristie sang with the Atlanta Centennial Mass Choir's recorded project as a salute to the 1996 Olympic Games. She led "There is No Other Way" on this project recorded by CGI Records. Kristie L. Sibley is versatile and has performed as lead soloist & concert classical music performer in college choirs leading serious classical pieces such as “Pie Jesu” by Gershwin and heartwarming gospel songs on the same concert stage. Kristie also studies with the Nashville Jazz Workshop in Nashville, TN and performs jazz standards in intimate settings such as “The Very Thought of You”. Some of her favorite Jazz pieces were made popular by the legendary singer Ella Fitzgerald.
Kristie released her first independent gospel 10-track CD titled "Perfect Peace" under her label in 2003. Currently Kristie is working on an inspirational gospel influenced Sophomore Project tilted “Free” produced by Antonio Neal. The “Free” single was released in 2010 as a prelude to her sophomore project and is available for purchase along with two remix bonus tracks. This single release project provides an eclectic mix of inspiring gospel songs that offer freedom, peace & faith to listeners. “Free” is a soothing and compelling piece that compels the listener to be free from chains and baggage from the past with strings instrumentation and beautiful soothing music. “Perfect Peace” is an R & B moderate tempo influenced track that offers hope in troubling times. Faith is an upbeat, fun & uplifting song with an eclectic modern beat that inspires the listener to believe no matter what their circumstances are. As a songwriter, these songs showcase mature lyrics as they were written by Kristie.
Currently, Kristie is recording & promoting her new “Free” Release and performing in various venues in preparation to release a full 10- track sophomore project with national radio & retail distribution. This project will be released by her independent label Kristie Sings Music. She is also collaborating with other artists on a compilation project entitled “Now Playing” with an expected release in 2011. From performing concerts to small intimate gatherings, her musical style is sure to leave an indelible musical & dramatic impression on any audience.
Kristie L. Sibley is a motivational speaker, facilitator, leader, visionary, entrepreneur & world traveler. She has 10 years of progressive collegiate teaching experience. Mrs. Sibley obtained her Master’s Degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma and Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Kennesaw State University. She teaches and speaks on a diversity of subjects to include career development, domestic violence, cultural diversity, family studies, substance abuse, self esteem, mental health, poverty, socioeconomic status, human behavior, child maltreatment, goal setting, values & ethics, group counseling, individual counseling and theory, crisis intervention, spirituality & other various topics. Kristie has been instrumental in motivating young women & helping adults to discover their destiny.
She is world traveled and has traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe. Kristie has traveled throughout the United States to 28 states and has traveled overseas to Germany, Switzerland, Holland, France, Italy, Spain, The Czech Republic and England. She has also toured the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Bahamas. Ms. Sibley loves adventure, meeting new people, tasting exotic foods, reading, singing & creating music. She is compassionate and practices high morals, values and integrity. Remarkably, Kristie is a woman of faith and has a desire to touch lives all over the world.
